This book tells about his life and his journey with TATA industries. The book is written in a slow pace, dwelling on small aspects and habits of JRD. I loved the sheer patriotism shown by the Tata Enterprise and family members. From Empire To Commonwealth. Tata, the patriarch of the biggest industrial house in India, comparable in stature to Forbes, Rockefeller or Du Pont. It seems incredible that a succession of Tatas took the company from where it began to where it is now in spite of all bsyond hurdles that were natural and government made.
Lala Snippet view – Both the books can get a bit draggy but they are still amazing reads about stellar icons and captains of the industry. There is a lot of optimism in the book and a bit of anguish too, as Jeh lide the many ways that he, despite doing everything in his power, failed to improve the situation in India.

Absolute respect for the man who created TATA. Tata Air Lines Taj Mahal And Cherry Blossoms. Which is a shortcoming. You will learn many aspect about TATAs. A new found respect for the company, one with a vision of country before everything else.
